Bilangan bertingkat (ordinal number) digunakan untuk urutan, peringkat atau tingkatan. Digunakan juga dalam calendar.  Ciri khas dari bilangan bertingkat adalah ada penambahan huruf : st, nd, rd diakhir bilangan.

Contoh :

1^st  = first = kesatu

2^nd = second = kedua

3^rd  = third = ketiga

721^st = seven hundred and twenty first (ketujuh ratus dua puluh satu)

9,354^th = nine thousand three hundred and sixty fourth (kesembilan ribu tiga ratus lima puluh empat)

The fourth month is April = Bulan keempat adalah April
